
Links | ‘March’ Wins VLA Diversity Award
The Virginia Library Association has announced the winners of their first Graphic Novel Diversity Award; the winner in the Youth category is March Book 2, by Rep. John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell. The honor books are Flutter, Volume Two: Don’t Let Me Die Nervous, by Jennie Wood, Jeff McComsey and Chris Goodwin; Honor Girl, by Maggie Thrash; and Princeless: Raven the Pirate Princess, Book One: Captain Raven and the All-Girl Pirate Crew, by Jeremy Whitley, Rosy Higgins and Ted Brandt.
This is a big year for Hope Larson, and at CBR she talks to Steve Morris about the three series that are debuting in 2016: Her detective series Goldie Vance, her adventure graphic novel Compass South, and her run as a writer on Batgirl.
