The Picks:

Miraculous Ladybug 1 small Miraculous Tales Of Lady Bug And Cat Noir Volume 1 – Action Lab Entertainment brings the magical girl sensation from France to comics. Marinette is just your average teenage girl with big dreams, a big crush, and a big secret. She is also the crime fighting superhero, Ladybug! With her magical assistant Tikki and her “Miraculous” magical accessory, she transformers and fights the evil villain Hawk Moth, who uses his mind-controlling, moth-like creatures called akuma to turn ordinary people into super baddies. Joined by Cat Noir, her superhero friend and secret crush Adrien, she must balance her double life while keeping Paris safe! Originally imagined as a comic book series, this international animated series comes home in this first volume.

Garfield Summer 2016 smallGarfield 2016 Summer Special #1 – BOOM! Studios brings back the iconic Fat Cat for his own summertime one-shot special. This issue features four new short stories that include Garfield prowling the streets as the Nighttime Crusader, fighting his own impulse control (and probably losing), and going up against “The Most Annoying Cat in the World.” What could be worse? Nermal possibly having a twin no one ever knew about! Garfield is always a big hit with young and old alike, and this summer special will be no different.
