The Picks:

Pink Panther 1 Pink Panther #1 – Publisher American Mythology Productions brings back a cool cat icon. After starting as the mascot for a series of comedy movies, the Pink Panther got his own Saturday morning cartoon and entertained generations of kids. Now he’s back, confounding the Inspector and the Little Man, while the Ant and the Ardvaark continue their Tom and Jerry/Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner antics. Don’t say Si, say Oui to this new series that features new stories, original shorts, and even some classic comics. With the wordless comedic style of the Pink Panther, this is a title emergent readers to seasoned pros will enjoy.

Lumber-Gotham 1Lumberjanes Gotham Academy #1  – DC Comics and BOOM! Studios get together for the crossover of the year! The Lumberjanes head to a mysterious building deep in the woods to investigate while the Gotham Academy kids’ investigation of a disappearance of one of their teachers leads them to the same building. Is it a weird cabin? An abandoned asylum? The two groups band together to find out what exactly is going on. While both groups have their charms, getting them together just pumps up the fun to 11. Fans and lovers of great stories and characters should not pass this one up.
