This Week’s Comics: Beaks and Tails

There’s so much to choose from in this week’s new releases, it’s hard to know where to start! Bongo Comics gives Bart Simpson Comics a fond farewell as the series ends at epic issue #100. Dark Horse wraps up another Itty Bitty Hellboy series with the final issue of The Search for the Were-Jaguar, while Titan Comics starts on the second series of Dragons with the first volume, Defenders of Berk, The Endless Night.

Harvey Beaks Volume 1 Inside Joke – Papercutz releases a Nickelodeon property to the wild. Harvey Beaks is a bird with a big head and a bigger heart. He is loved by everyone in Bigbark Wood and is a bit of a rule follower. But after Fee and Foo show him some amazing adventures that bend the rules, he starts to branch out and might just spread his wings for more excitement. Harvey Beaks is a cartoon on Nickelodeon as well as having a comic in Nickelodeon Magazine. This graphic novel features an all new story not seen in the pages of the magazine. Fans and new readers alike will enjoy the fresh and fun stories.

Fuku Fuku Kitten Tales GN – Vertical brings Chi’s older sister to the states for more kitten antics. Fuku Fuku is a stray kitten who finds her way into the home of a widowed grandmother who adopts her. The pair quickly begin to develop a relationship as viewed through the kitten’s eyes. Konami Kanata knows not only all about cats, she knows what people love about them. Fuku Fuku: Kitten Tales tells a different story than Chi’s Sweet Home but is still a definite must have for cat and/or animal lovers of all ages.
