This Week’s Comics: Jughead War

Stock up for the long holiday weekend with some titles from this week’s new releases. Jughead #4 – Archie Comics pushes the envelope again with the latest issue of their Jughead reboot. Archie’s best friend Jughead got an overhaul along with Archie and the rest of Riverdale that went over so well with fans that he got his own series. A new principal at Riverdale High has been making changes that has hit Jughead where it counts: his stomach. Now he is determined to prove that the school has been taken over by a nefarious outside force, and with Dilton’s help, he going to get the proof! But in true Jughead fashion, his imagination gets the best of him, as the mysterious pirate Captain Slackbeard takes the lead. This issue has made a stir on comic news sites as it affirms what writer Chip Zdarsky said about Jughead’s sexual orientation back in October at New York Comic Con.

Marvel Universe Captain America Civil War Digest TP – Get ready for the next Captain America movie with this collection of stories about several of the heroes appearing Civil War. Captain America, the Winter Soldier, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Falcon are all featured in stories where they take on the Red Skull, a Madbomb from Hydra, dinosaurs, and even their own teammates when they become evil ghosts and hulk out! This collection is a great way to reacquainted with old teammates and meet new ones.
