Grampa Simpson’s Choose Your Own Adventure Adventure #1 – Bongo Comics brings a well-known prose format to comics. Grampa Simpson has an unbelievable tale of swashbuckling derring-do that spans the entire cosmos and he wants you to join him! This is issue is written in the format of a “Choose Your Own Adventure” story, allowing the reader to not only choose the direction of the story, but choose several different paths for maximum re-readability. “Choose Your Own Adventure” stories are a lot of fun, especially when you are already invested in the universe. I’m surprised comics publishers haven’t tried this before.

Jem And The Holograms Holiday Special 2015 – IDW Publishing gets their newest hit into the holiday spirit. Jerrica and the Holograms attend a holiday party at their new record label, Five by Five, which also happens to be the Misfits label. The two bands end up drawing each other at the gift exchange. Will their rivalry get the better of them, or will the holiday spirit get to even the bitterest of enemies? With the story by series regular Kelly Thompson and art by Amy Mebberson, a regular cover artist for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the fun and cuteness will be off the scale.
