 The Picks:

StorytellerDragons-001Jim Henson’s The Storyteller Dragons #1 – BOOM! Studios brings back The Storyteller for more myths and legends, this time about Dragons. Dragons have appeared in many different shapes in cultures all over the world. From serpents and worms to the classic European firebreather, their stories have informed and entertained. This first issue features a story inspired by Native American stories of the Horned Snake and the Thunderbird, in “Son of the Serpent.” These tales are great for featuring creators and exposing readers to stories they may never have heard before.

Philemon 3Philemon Adventures Volume 3 The Suspended Castle GN – Toon Books brings Philemon back to the islands that are letters on a map. Philemon goes on a quest to return to the “A” with his friend Mr. Bartholomew. They only have until sunrise to ride a ray of light from of magical lighthouse of the Guardian-King, but that’s plenty of time for lots of adventure. The Philemon Adventures are imaginative and entertaining stories that younger readers will love.
