The Picks:
Itty Bitty Hellboy The Search For The Were-Jaguar #1 – Dark Horse Comics brings back the all-ages version of their popular hero. Hellboy, Abe, Liz, and their friends return for a very special quest: They are going to the Island of Rogers to deliver…underwear! But the discovery of a mysterious beast interrupts their mission. The Itty Bitty team must find out who or what is the creature known as the were-jaguar! The first Itty Bitty Hellboy series hit it big, earning an Eisner nomination, and with Baltazar and Franco back, this new series is sure to be just as popular.
Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur #1 – Marvel Comics gives preteens their own hero to look up to. Lunella Lafayette is a preteen super genius who had to learn the hard way that changing the world takes more than big brains. While she is fearful of the monstrous Inhuman genes inside her, it’s the arrival of a savage, red-scaled tyrant teleported from the prehistoric past that turns her life upside down. The pair are many things, but together they are the most amazing team. Amy Reader, creator of Rocket Girl, gets her chance to revamp some old Marvel characters for a new and younger generation.

Okay, making a children’s version of Hellboy is such an oxymoron. It is just weird. Even a curse word, “hell”, is in his name! And it is for kids? Just saying.
