The Picks:
Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror #21 – Tis the season to be spooky with a new Simpson’s Halloween special from Bongo Comics. Ned Flanders believes he missed “The Rapture,” only to discover it was the lefties that were left behind. Apu receives a shipment of adorable gremlins by accident—but misses the warning not to feed them Squishees after midnight. And it’s Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, Simpsons style, as the idle rich championed by Mr. Burns clash with the working poor led by Marge Simpson. Like the cartoons, the annual Treehouse of Horror issues are a yearly treat not to be missed.
Jem And The Holograms #7 – IDW Publishing starts Jem, the Holograms and the Misfits onto their next story arc. The battle has just begun as Jerrica and her sisters face their biggest threat yet—success. The Misfits aren’t taking these upstarts lying down, but how will they handle being under new management? This reboot of the 1980s cartoon has been great for readers new and old. Tweens will love the music, fashion, and drama that make every issue a must-have.
