The Picks:

Cleopatra 2 Cleopatra In Space, Volume 2: The Thief And The Sword – Graphix continues the future adventures of young Cleopatra. Picking up where Book One left off, Cleo is determined to get back the ancient sword that a mysterious thief stole after she had recovered it, but her teachers at Yasiro Academy forbid it. Stuck at school, she tries to adjust to her newfound popularity and responsibility, and she learns more about the prophecy that names her the savior of the galaxy. She goes on a dangerous journey to find the time tablets that could decide her fate—before they fall into the wrong hands. The first book, Target Practice, was a lot of fun. Cleo is a great lead, and her friends act as good support for her. I expect this volume to be no less entertaining than the first.

Johnny Boo Dragon PuncherJohnny Boo Meets Dragon Puncher – IDW releases the crossover to end all crossovers! Johnny Boo, “the best little ghost in the world” and the robot-kitty-warrior, Dragon Puncher, team up to take on a terrifying Ice Dragon. When these two meet up, the result is an explosion of adventure and fun, and the Kochalkaverse will never be the same! James Kochalka creates stories that appeal to both young readers and adults, and putting these two amazing characters together just ramps the fun up to the next level.
