The Picks:
Wonder Woman ’77 Special #1 – It’s another blast from past from DC Comics! Wonder Woman and special agent Steve Trevor’s search for an escaped Soviet scientist brings them to the hottest disco of the day, Studio 52. Wonder Woman must go undercover performing a live stage act while also stopping the Russian Roller Derby girls sent to bring the scientist home. With the success of the 1960s era Batman in Batman ‘66, DC tries to strike gold again with the return of the 1970s Wonder Woman starring Lynda Carter. This special is a great way to introduce new fans to a classic as well as give younger Wonder Woman fans a title to enjoy, while older fans can bask in the nostalgia.
Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past GN – Perfect Square and Viz Media bring a classic video game adaptation back into print. Link, a simple, bumbling kid, is contacted telepathically by Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. She has been kidnapped by the evil mage Agahnim, who is trying to break the seals on the Dark World in order to gain the Tri-Force, an item that is said to grant its holder one wish. This adaptation of the original Nintendo Game Boy Advance game was drawn by manga legend Shotaro Ishinomori and was first serialized in the magazine Nintendo Power back in 1993, but never saw a collected release. Viz Media is correcting that with this release. Both manga and Zelda fans will want to snatch this title up, so get yours while you can.
