The Picks:

Glorkian Warrior Eats Adventure Pie – The Glorkian Warrior returns with another wacky adventure from First Second. The Glorkian Warrior is back, taking on a rampaging space snake. Just as he is about to get it under control, his villainous rival in the Glorkian Corps, Buster Glark, shows up to make fun of him. But he laughs so hard at Glorkian Warrior’s misfortune that he gives himself the hiccups. Thus starts another adventure for the Glorkian Warrior, where things may only get worse, but at least there will be plenty of pie at the end. Glorkian Warrior is filled with the wild and wacky humor that younger readers love, and it is the perfect addition for any elementary library.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad #1 – Marvel and Disney are back with another series based on a Disney attraction. Big Thunder Mountain is the home to a gold mine owned by the malevolent Barnabas T. Bullion. He is determined to shelter his teen daughter Abigail from the dangers of the Wild West, but Abigail has other ideas. Masked bandits, earthquakes, floods, and dynamite-chewing goats all await the denizens of Rainbow Ridge as they get caught between mankind’s greed and nature’s fury. Enjoy the fun and thrill of the Wild West from a ride that anyone who has ridden the roller coaster won’t soon forget.
