The Picks:

Abigail And The Snowman #1 – Robert Langridge returns to BOOM! Studios with a new original tale. Nine-year-old Abigail is a girl with a huge imagination. She has moved to a small town, and goes to a new school where she struggles to make friends, until she meets Claude, a sophisticated Yeti who has escaped from a top secret government facility. They become best friends, and go on a journey to find Claude’s home to keep him safe from the “Shadow Men” who are hunting him. Roger Langridge has made a name for himself as a creator of stories that both kids and adults can enjoy. This new series will no doubt be no different. You can see a preview here.

Feathers #1 – BOOM! Studios continues to debut new creators for fans of all ages. Poe is a reclusive boy born covered in feathers. His first ever friend, Bianca, is trying to return to her home beyond the slums of the Maze. Poe must help her dodge street gangs and child snatchers, and maybe find the secrets to his mysterious past along the way. Feathers is created by debut writer-artist Jorge Corona, who has designed a story that embraces both the darkness and beauty in life. Fans of Avatar: Legend of Korra, Mike Mignola, and Amulet will enjoy this new series.
