And for some old-timey goodness, Drawn and Quarterly releases a new Pippi Longstocking graphic novel, Pippi Won’t Grow Up.

The Picks:

Anna And Froga Thrills Spills And Gooseberries HC – Drawn and Quarterly releases the third volume of this adorable series. Anna, Froga, Ron, Bubu, and Christopher return for more mischief and capers. A day at the county fair goes awry when they all get stuck in the haunted house with a truly terrifying ticket-taker. Froga combats a scourge of snails in her garden, and Bubu has ill-fated dreams of being a great painter. By acclaimed French artist Anouk Ricard, Anna and Froga is an all ages title that will enchant young readers with the art and characters antics. It’s a great gift to put under the tree. (For more, check out Caleb’s review.)

My Little Pony Equestria Girls Holiday Special – IDW returns to the world of Equestria Girls for a new holiday special. It’s holiday time at Canterlot High, and Sunset Shimmer is still getting used to life on campus. With her new friends, she finally has a reason to look forward to the holidays. But mean rumors start to circulate, and all signs point to Sunset as the source. Clearing her name and finding the true meaning of the holidays will take some magic. Friendship Magic. This story takes place after the movie and features Sunset Shimmer as the sixth member of the Mane 6 instead of Twilight Sparkle. It’s great to see Sunset Shimmer and the Equestria Girls developed more. Fans of both series will enjoy this under the tree or as a stocking stuffer.
