The Picks:
Asterix And The Picts SC – Orion publishing brings over the first book by the brand-new Asterix team. Asterix and Obelix return to the British Isles and journey up to Scotland, where they meet the Picts, fearsome warriors whose name literally means “painted men.” In a land rich with traditions, the Gauls will meet the Loch Ness monster, toss some cabers, and even dress in kilts as they escort a lost Pict warrior to his home village. Asterix is a series with plenty of fun, action, and humor to delight old and new fans alike.
Pokemon XY Volume 1 GN – Perfect Square releases the next generation in the Pokemon Adventures saga. X is the new Pokemon Battle Junior Champion and is hailed as a child prodigy. But the attention and media is too much, and he holes himself up in his room, hiding even from his best friends. The appearance of the two legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal and the mysterious Team Flame in his home town of Vaniville may be just thing to pull him out of hiding to take up the challenge. To keep fans from having to wait too long for new chapters, XY is being released in the same format as Black and White, with shorter books coming out more frequently.
