The Picks:
Itty Bitty Comics The Mask #1 – Dark Horse Comics brings back The Mask, crazier than ever! Herman Shazbert, a mild-mannered zookeeper, buys his wife a strange mask. The whole family wants to try it, even Grandma Shazbert! The comic series The Mask isn’t a title appropriate for younger readers, which is a shame since the movie starring Jim Carrey was, but this issue is in the vein of the movie. Kids will love the crazy antics the Mask has its wearers do. Art Baltazar and Franco already have a long and steady list of all ages titles, and this one is a perfect addition to that list. Don’t pass this title up!
Dance Class, Volume 8: Snow White And The Seven Dwarves – The adventures of Bruno, Julie, Carla, Lucie, and Alia continue from Papercutz. This time, the Dance Class has decided to adapt “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves” into a ballet for the Annual Day of the Dance Festival. Mary must decide how to cast the roles as well as incorporate the lower school students into the production. Bruno has no competition for the role of Prince Charming, while Carla can picture herself in this starring role, stealing a kiss from Bruno. The girls will have to come together to make the production a success. Dance Class keeps going strong to be a great series for tweens.
