Cover Reveal: Anna Banana and the Chocolate Explosion

September 8, 2014 by Brigid Alverson   Leave a Comment

Earlier this year, First Second published Sleep Tight, Anna Banana, a cheerful picture book/comic hybrid by Dominique Roques and Alexis Dormal, and now, here’s a first look at the cover for the second book in the series, Anna Banana and the Chocolate Explosion.

Anna Banana is a mischievous girl with a large coterie of stuffed animal friends; in the first book, she avoided bedtime for as long as possible, and in this one, she and her friends bake a chocolate cake, with hilariously messy results. The books are done in picture-book format with light, airy drawings and just a few word balloons per panel, so they are easy to read or to read aloud. Anna Banana and the Chocolate Explosion will be out in June 2015.
