The Picks:

Hero Cats #1 – Action Lab Entertainment introduces a new superhero team too cute to pass up! Not your ordinary house cats, the Hero Cats of Stellar City are a covert team dealing with the extraordinary threats to humanity. Their tactical, action-packed adventures will amaze while their cute cat-ness will charm. This series started as a bonus from the independent comics series Galaxy Man published by Galaxy Man Press, and it exists in the same universe. Action Lab Entertainment seems to have picked up the cuter of the two titles, though Galaxy Man looks to be a title with just as much potential. Perhaps if Hero Cats takes off, we will see Galaxy Man get a wider distribution! Definitely pick this one up!

Clockwork Sky Volume 2 GN – After two years, Tor Books releases the conclusion to this exciting all-ages steampunk manga! Steambot magnate Erasmus Croach has supplied Britain’s factories with near-perfect robot employees and a steambot police-boy Sky to control the people left unemployed. Sally Peppers is Erasmus’s niece who is also quite the tinkerer. Sally runs away and meets up with Sky, and they venture into the tunnels beneath London in search of a missing child. Sally figures out the terrifying truth about the steambot factory, but it might be too late. Erasmus Croach has created bigger and stronger steambots that are ready to deploy. Only Sally’s wits and Sky’s pure heart can save the day! This series is from Madeleine Rosca, the creator of the successful and critically acclaimed series Hollow Fields, and Clockwork Sky follows in those footsteps to create an exciting and fun story that people of all ages will enjoy.
