Simpsons Illustrated #12 – Bartman returns to save the day in Bongo’s latest Simpsons Illustrated. But first, when Ned Flanders goes on a road trip of self-discovery, Cletus and his kinfolk take over the Flanderosa, driving Homer to start fixin’ for a feud. Then, when Bart uses Professor’s Frink’s newest invention to do the family laundry, genetic material from the clothing mixes with Frink’s concoction to create sentient metal versions of the Simpsons. When Homer’s latest mess at the nuclear power plant makes real trouble, it’s up to Bartman and the Metal Simpsons to clean things up. Continuing to bring back the best of the Simpsons Comics, this quarterly comic is a great way for new fans to enjoy older stories from the entire Bongo Comics Simpsons line.

DC Comics Presents Batman Adventures #1 – Batman returns with some of his best all-ages stories. Pulled from titles featuring the animated style of Batman: The Animated Series, this series features stories from Batman Adventures #2 and 27, Batman: Gotham Adventures #2 and 4, and a short tale from Adventures in the DC Universe #3. Some of the villains Batman and his fellow heroes from Gotham City will face include Catwoman, the Joker, and Two-Face. Batman: the Animated Series continues to be hailed as the best animated version of the Dark Knight, and DC Comics is finally making a smart move by bringing the best stories from the three titles based on it back, so new, younger Batman fans can enjoy them.
