Scholastic To Publish Bone Tribute Edition With New Art
Scholastic has announced that in February 2015 they will release a special edition of Jeff Smith’s Bone #1: Out From Boneville to kick off the celebration of their 10th anniversary of their Graphix imprint.
Established in 2005, Graphix, Scholastic’s graphic novel imprint, launched with the colorized version of Jeff Smith’s Bone series. Bone, according to David Saylor Editorial Director of Graphix, is the cornerstone of their imprint. It has garnered much acclaim since its publication, including 10 Eisner Awards and 11 Harvey Awards, as well as European awards from Italy, Germany, and the French Alph Art. It is also a New York Times Best Selling title.

The new special edition will be in full color and will include an illustrated poem by Smith plus original Bone tribute art (mini-comics and splash pages) from 16 other artists, including Kate Beaton, Jeffrey Brown, Kazu Kibuishi, Dav Pilkey, Raina Telgemeier, and Craig Thompson.
