The Picks:

Herobear And The Kid Saving Time #1 – BOOM! Studios brings out the first new Herobear and the Kid series in ten years! Henry, the family’s magical butler, is missing. Tyler and Herobear are on the case trying to figure out what happened to their friend. But to do so, they might learn a lot more about Henry than they ever dreamed, and they will be forced to get help from an unexpected source. It’s great that BOOM! was able to get more of this series. Learning more about Tyler, Herobear and their world can only be a good thing.

X-Men An Origin Story – Marvel Press introduces the X-men to a younger audience. Professor Charles Xavier knows what it’s like to be different. He is a mutant. Possessing miraculous powers of mind control, Charles has a dream that humans and mutants will live together in peace. He has formed the X-Men, a group of men and women like him, including Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm, to rid the world of violence against man or mutant. This title is more like a picture book and is a good starter for younger kids interested in superheroes and the X-men, especially with the new movie coming out this next month.
