
Preview: Hello Kitty: Surprise!
We have a special treat for you today: A complete Hello Kitty short story, “The Egg,” from Hello Kitty: Surprise, which will be out on April 1. This is the third Hello Kitty book from Viz’s Perfect Square imprint. All three books feature a collection of short stories from different creators (this one is by Jorge Monlongo, who also contributed to their Mameshiba comics), and all the Hello Kitty stories are wordless. Brigid Alverson, the editor of the Good Comics for Kids blog, has been reading comics since she was 4. She has an MFA in printmaking and has worked as a book editor, a newspaper reporter, and assistant to the mayor of a small city.
