The Picks:
Batman ’66 #9 – DC Comics continues their walk on the wacky side in this tribute to the 1960s Batman TV series. Zelda the Great is trying out new tricks for her stage act, and Batman and Robin get to be her guinea pigs! She has set several traps for them and wants them to show her how to escape them—whether they want to or not. Then it’s a showdown for the Dynamic Duo as they head west to face Shame. Batman ’66 is one of those all ages titles that balances between kids who will love the wacky adventures of the 1960s Batman and parents or even grandparents who remember seeing the TV series either live or in re-runs. It’s great fun kids and adults can share.
Samurai Jack #6 – IDW brings back a fan-favorite character to help Jack out. The Scotsman, a humongous highland hooligan, teams up with the stoically stalwart samurai to battle a bizarre, mystic, doozy of a curse! The fans have been asking, or maybe even demanding, the Scotsman return, and IDW has delivered with this action-packed issue. Samurai Jack is another title that appeals to kids and is nostalgic for adults, and that both can share and enjoy.
