This Week’s Comics: Gotham Time!

February 21, 2014 by Lori Henderson   Leave a Comment

It’s like a flashback to Christmas with such a small list of new comics! But there are still some must read titles. Bongo Comics releases the latest issue of Simpsons Comics, which is almost as old as the TV series! Speaking of old TV, DC Comics has the next issue of Batman ’66, featuring the villain King Tut, and Marvel Comics has the second issue of their Disney series Seekers of the Weird.

The List:

BONGO COMICS
Simpsons Comics #209, $2.99

BOOM! STUDIOS
Adventure Time #25 (Cover A Matt Cummings), $4.99 **Weekly Pick**
Adventure Time #25 (Cover B Luke Pearson), $4.99

CINEBOOK
Lucky Luke Volume 44 Lucky Luke Versus Pat Poker TP, $11.95

DC COMICS
Batman ’66 #8, $3.99
Batman Li’l Gotham Volume 1 TP, $12.99 **Weekly Pick**
Scribblenauts Unmasked A Crisis Of Imagination #2, $2.99
Teen Titans Go #2, $2.99

MARVEL COMICS
Disney Kingdoms Seekers Of The Weird #2 (Of 5)(Mike Del Mundo Regular Cover), $3.99

The Picks:

Adventure Time #25 – Adventure Time turns 25! Well, actually it has only been two years since the successful comic started, but it’s still time for a celebration! Have you ever had a favorite item? Something precious and cherished that would continue on after you’ve left on your final adventure and keep continuing? This is the story of that gem and how truly loved it was. Join the celebration with Princess Bubblegum, Marceline, some talking dinosaurs, and a special gem that could only be named Carl. This is one issue you don’t want to miss.

Batman Li’l Gotham Volume 1 TP – DC Comics collects the all-ages tales of Batman and his friends and foes. It’s one holiday-centric adventure after another for Batman and all his crime-fighting compadres, as they take on The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn through Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! Keep that seasonal spirit going all year long! This trade collects issues #1-6 of the print comic. This is the perfect gift for any superhero fan and belongs on library shelves for any age.
