The Picks:
Axe Cop Volume 5 Axe Cop Gets Married And Other Stories TP – Dark Horse releases another collection of the insanity that is Axe Cop. Axe Cop is searching for a new wife and mother for his newly adopted bat and monkey children after a messy divorce with Abraham Lincoln. Let’s think about that for a moment. Moving on, this issue also features the epic bowzer battle story “The Dogs”, multiple “Ask Axe Cop” episodes, guest comics, and “Axe Cop Presents.” It’s more awesomeness than you can shake an axe at! If you haven’t been able to follow or keep up with the web comic, this collection is great way to catch up.
Bravoman Volume 1 HC – Udon Entertainment brings the 80s video game character off the computer screen into your hands with this first collection. Bravoman started out as a videogame parodying video games and Japanese superhero shows and has been given new life as a webcomic on the ShiftyLook website. Bravoman is an ultra-stretchy superhero who battles intergalactic octopus monsters, city-smashing giant robots, and armies of squawking crow-demons, even though he’d rather be on the couch playing video games. With the help of his mentor Alpha Man, he takes on the likes of Anti-Bravoman and the deadly ninja princess, Waya Hime, who wants to both date and kill him! This volume collects the first 130 strips of the webcomic and includes bonus pin-ups, rough sketches, and plenty of creator commentary.
