Preview: Jughead Double Digest #199

January 14, 2014 by Brigid Alverson   Leave a Comment

Jughead is my favorite Archie character. His standoffish attitude makes it easier for the writers to put him in ridiculous situations that just wouldn’t work for the other characters. In the lead story of Jughead #199, for instance, he randomly moves a sign and somehow changes Riverdale forever. The digest will be out in comics shops tomorrow; here’s a short preview, followed by the full catalog copy. Enjoy!

JUGHEAD DOUBLE DIGEST #199
Ever wonder how a small town like Riverdale manages to stay local and keep big name chain stores away? Well, it’s a bit of an odd story—and Jughead has everything to do with it! Find out how Jughead shaped the financial model of the town in “Give Me a Sign”!
Script: Craig Boldman
Art: Rex Lindsey, Rich Koslowski, Jack Morelli, and Barry Grossman
Cover: Fernando Ruiz, Bob Smith, Rosario “Tito” Peña
On Sale at Comic Specialty Shops: 1/15
160-page, full color comic
