Garfield #21 (Cover A Gary Barker), $3.99 **Weekly Pick**

CINEBOOK
Lucky Luke Volume 41 The Daily Star TP, $11.95

DC COMICS
Beware The Batman #3, $2.99

IDW PUBLISHING
My Little Pony Digest-Size Volume 2 TP, $6.99
My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic Volume 3 TP, $17.99
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Volume 3 Showdown TP, $7.99

The Picks:

Sonic Universe #59 – A new arc starts with Sonic’s dark rival Shadow. Team Dark is sent out into space as the Dark Comet, the home to an evil alien race rushes back toward Earth even though the aliens were defeated months ago and the comet isn’t supposed to be back for another fifty years! It is up to Shadow and his team stop the new alien menace that has come to consume Earth. There aren’t enough sci-fi stories for younger readers (IMO), so this is a great addition to both the Sonic world and sci-fi world in general.

Garfield #21 – Garfield and friends ring in the new year with two fun stories. First we meet Timothy, a Fraidy Cat in the extreme whose wish to be a monster might end with him meeting a monster. Then, Jon’s missing shoes lead Garfield and Odie on a wild ride through town. Garfield continues to be fun with an ever growing cast of characters, bringing a laugh any time of the year.
