This Week’s Comics: Ben 10 Team Up

It’s a cartoon-a-palooza on this week’s new comics list, with both old and new shows making a showing. BOOM! Studios has new issues of Adventure Time and Regular Show. IDW releases new issues of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Samurai Jack, and Bongo Comics prepares from winter with one of the granddaddys of cartoons today, The Simpsons, and their annual Winter Wingding issue.

Scooby-Doo Team-Up #1 – Relive Saturday morning cartoon fun with this new ongoing series. Scooby and the gang are investigating rumors of a giant bat-creature, while Batman and Robin are on the trail of their old foe, the monstrous Man-Bat. Their paths cross when the crooks behind a fake bat-creature comes face-to-face with the real thing, with the good guys caught in the middle. This title started out as a one-shot, but due to all the ideas submitted, it was expanded to a miniseries, and then into an ongoing series! It’s no mystery what mixing mystery and superheroes can only lead to; fun! Don’t miss the premiere of this new series.

Ben 10 #1 – The boy who can become a number of alien heroes is back in comic form. Thanks to IDW’s partnership with Cartoon Network, not only are older cartoons coming back, but so are more recent shows. Ben Tennyson and his teammates are on an ocean cruise when they stumble onto Ssserpent, who’s out to find a long-lost underwater society. On top of all that, Ben’s new, slightly oddball love interest may be harboring dark secrets of her own. It’s adventure on the high seas! Ben 10 has been making a comeback with graphic novels through Perfect Square as well as the original comic series also from IDW. Fans of the TV show will enjoy this new series.
