This Week’s Comics: Plants vs Skips

The holiday season is creeping up all too quickly, even in the new comics this week! Archie Comics is already looking to Christmas with both Archie Double Digest and Betty and Veronica Double Digest featuring stories about the holiday. Marvel Comics has the trade of the Oz comic Road to Oz, and Perfect Square, Viz Media’s kids’ imprint, is overflowing with Pokemon, with vol. 2 of Black and White, vol. 2 of HeartGold and SoulSilver, and vol. 19 of Adventures. Plants Vs Zombies Lawnmageddon HC – Dark Horse collects the digital comics into one nifty hardcover! Zombies are invading Nate Timely’s quiet town, and he’s determined to stop them. With the help of Patrice, her confusing-yet-brilliant inventor uncle Crazy Dave, and the plants Dave has cultivated and planted around town, Nate will help fend off the zombie invasion—after a lemonade and cookie break! This very funny book brings the award-winning video game to comics readers in this original adventure. If you liked the video game, or just very silly stories, pick this book up.
