The Picks:
Sonic Universe Volume 5 The Tails Adventure TP – Sonic’s faithful sidekick Tails gets his own adventure! Taking a well-earned vacation, Tails and his friends Antoine and Bunnie head to remote Cocoa Island. Unbeknownst to them, the Battle Bird Armada have their camouflaged fortress hidden there. As the villainous avians lash out, it’s up to Tails to save the day! It’s one little fox against an armada of angry birds, with a little help from Tails’ latest creation, T-Pup! This volume collects issues #17-20 from Sonic Universe and includes exclusive special features. Tails has been popular with fans since his introduction back in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, so it’s always good when he gets to step into the limelight on his own. This is a must for any Sonic fan, or graphic novel, collection.
Ninjago Volume 7 Stone Cold SC – Papercutz continues to ride the spinjitsu wave with the latest Ninjago volume. Jay, Cole, Zane and Kai square off against the evil Stone Warriors but become frustrated and discouraged by their lack of powers and inability to defeat them. In order to find the key to future victory, they must search their Sensei Wu’s past adventures and learn his secrets. Exciting adventures and wacky characters keep this title a best seller for kids, and it continues to be a must for graphic novel collections for elementary to tween readers.
