Weather the April showers with some of the collected editions coming out this week! DC Comics releases the final volume of the Tiny Titans series with #8. Marvel Comics has a hard cover edition of their adaptation of Road to Oz, and finally, the long awaited full color omnibus of Osamu Tezuka’s Unico comes out this week from Digital Manga Publishing. The Picks:
Mega Man #24 – Archie Comics brings together their two video game icons in the biggest crossover event of the year! Sonic the Hedgehog, the Blue Blur, meets Mega Man, the Blue Bomber, for the first time, and it’s an all out battle! Considering the way they are going at each other, it may also be their last! Why are these two heroes trying to take each other down? Only their respective villains, Drs. Eggman and Wily, know, and they’re not talking. They’re loving every minute of it! Get in on the action with this first issue and pick your side; Team Sonic or Team Mega Man. Sonic the Hedgehog is a perennial favorite and Mega Man moved quickly to join his fellow video game icon. This is a must for any elementary or teen library or collection. Video game lovers should check this out as well!
Batman Li’l Gotham #1 – This all-ages digital first series from DC Comics finally comes to print! It’s Batman, Robin and the rest of the Gothamites as they take on a different holiday every month. This first issue starts with Batman teaching Robin about the true meaning of Halloween. Then it’s Thanksgiving. Batman, Robin and the families of Gotham City gather around the table for a holiday feast, but it is interrupted by a march against the city by the birds of Gotham, led by the Penguin! This print issue collects the first two issues of the digital comic. This series has been getting a lot of good buzz with both kids and adults who enjoy the fun stories and beautiful water-colored art. Definitely pick up up this series, in print or digital, if you are a Batman fan or have fans in your home.
