All ages comics and manga for 12/19/12-01/03/13

The holidays have come and gone, and while the blog was on hiatus, the new releases of comics weren’t! Get out those gift cards and prepare to catch up on two weeks of comics as well as picking up this week’s new releases. Action Lab Entertainment releases the second issue of their short stories collection for Princeless, to hold fans over until the second series comes out. IDW has the next issue of its very popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Get your issue before they sell out again! Not to worry if you missed the first issue. Orange, the most annoying fruit on the kitchen counter, drags his friends and fellow fruits into the most insane series of adventures. In this volume, Secret Agents 00-Orange and Oh-Oh Nerville must stop the evil mastermind Grapefinger from stealing the color purple! Only Orange can annoy the villain into submission! The graphic novels follow the premise of the TV show, and emphasizes the silly humor over the more crude style the TV and internet shows favored. Tweens and teens will enjoy this series the most.

Adventure Time With Fionna And Cake #1 – Boom Studios releases another Adventure Time mini-series featuring the whole gender flipped cast! Fionna the Human and Cake the Cat embark on an all-new adventure when Fionna rescues a feral flame boy from a pack of wild fire lions. It is just the beginning of a quest Fionna will never forget. Starting off as a one-off episode of the TV series, the characters Fionna and Cake have become fan favorites, with fans cosplaying as them and calling for more episodes featuring them as well as villain Ice Queen and love interest Prince Gumball. It’s only natural that they would get a comic, and that fans will be clamoring for this issue!
