The Picks:
Simpsons Winter Wingding #7 – The Simpsons are back for some winter holiday fun from Bongo Comics. It’s the holiday season in Springfield, and the town is ready to celebrate, but the weather isn’t cooperating. It’s up to Lisa to find out why. Bart has a cootie contagion to escape as the girls at Springfield Elementary try to catch him under the mistletoe. Homer finally pushes Ned Flanders past his breaking point when he ruins his annual holiday party once again, and it could mean the end of their relationship if Homer can’t make amends. Like The Treehouse of Horrors, the Winter Wingding has become a holiday tradition no fan of the Simpsons, or of just good comics, should miss out on.
Garfield #8 – It’s a special Christmas themed issue for everyone’s favorite fat cat from Boom! Studios. Guess what’s on Garfield’s Christmas list: Lasagna, lasagna, and more lasagna! This issue features two stories, “Santa Mouse,” with Harry the cat and the mice that live in the Arbuckle house, and “Snow Problem.” Naughty or nice, readers of all ages will enjoy this holiday jaunt with Garfield, Jon, Odie and the rest of their friends.
