The Picks:
DC Nation #2 – DC Comics keeps fans up on their animation block with this magazine. This issue focuses on the new Batman series coming out in 2013, Beware the Batman, with an original comic and a behind the scenes look at the series. There are also features about other shows in the block, including Young Justice: Invasion, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and a look at the new Teen Titans Go. It also features a 20-page comic with some holiday adventures featuring some favorite DC heroes and villains! This is a great title for fans of the DC Nation block on TV, and with new shows pushed back to January, it is also a great way to fill the void.
All The Wrong Questions Volume 1 Who Could That Be At This Hour HC – Lemony Snicket returns with a new mystery series for tweens. Having run away from home, a young Lemony Snicket becomes an apprentice in an organization nobody knows about, in a fading town far from anyone he knows or trusts. He starts asking questions that shouldn’t be asked and must solve a several mysteries that the people involved don’t really seem to care about. Filled with humor and wordplay, and illustrated by celebrated cartoonist Seth, this is a title fans of Snicket’s books will want and new readers can delve into with no problems. Check out a preview of this prose volume here.
