The Picks:

Dino Duck: Prehysterical – Ape Entertainment’s Kizoic evolves with another great graphic novel for kids.  The Monkey Tribe and the Duck Tribe are in a race to climb the evolutionary ladder. Unfortunately, no one in the Duck Tribe has seemed to notice—no one except Dino Duck. He’s the only smart duck among a bunch of violent, slow-witted brutes, and it’s up to him to push his people out of the Stone Age and up the evolutionary ladder before the monkeys beat him to it! Kids will enjoy this title as they watch the clever Dino Duck create inventions and, sometimes unintentionally, thwart the plans of the Monkey Tribe. Elementary and middle school libraries and collections will want to check this title out.

Boys Only/Girls Only: How To Survive Anything – Scholastic releases a survival guide that kids will love! Whether you’re a boy or a girl, there are things that are going to come up that you’ll need some help and/or advice getting through. That’s where these How To Survive Anything books come in. Each book is filled with how-tos that range from the practical to the ridiculous, but are always funny. You can learn things such as dealing with a clothes crisis, navigating by the stars, spotting an alien in your family, and avoiding being eaten by a polar bear! With a healthy mix of humor and helpfulness and fun art, both boys and girls will enjoy getting prepared for just about anything. Prepare your library or kids collection with these books!
