Preview: The Hunger Pains
Papercutz Slices are the modern-day reincarnation of the Mad Magazine satire, goofy, book-length parodies of popular works such as Harry Potter and Twilight. written by Stefan Petrucha (who also scripts their Nancy Drew graphic novels) and illustrated with by Rick Parker, who admits he draws his inspiration from the early days of Mad. Now it’s time for The Hunger Games to get the treatment, and The Hunger Pains boils down the novel to one slim, devastatingly funny volume. Here’s a sample:
