All ages comics and manga for 2/29/12

March 2, 2012 by Lori Henderson   Leave a Comment

February gets to be a little longer this year, giving it an extra week for comics, but unfortunately publishers aren’t so obliging. It’s a very short list, with just four publishers releasing titles this week. Ape Entertainment releases a couple of Strawberry Shortcake digests for on-the-go reading. Archie has the second trade of their popular Mega Man series, and DC reaches the penultimate issue of their popular comic for young readers, Tiny Titans. And with such a short list, there’s only one pick.

The List:

APE ENTERTAINMENT
Strawberry Shortcake Digest The Berry Scary Storm And Other Stories GN, $6.99
Strawberry Shortcake Digest Pineapple Predicament And Other Stories GN, $6.99

ARCHIE COMICS
Mega Man Volume 2 Time Keeps Slipping TP, $11.99
Sonic The Hedgehog #234, $2.99
World Of Archie Double Digest #15, $3.99

BONGO COMICS
Ralph Wiggum Comics #1, $2.99 ^^AA Pick^^

DC COMICS
Looney Tunes #205, $2.99
Tiny Titans #49, $2.99

The Pick:

Ralph Wiggum Comics #1 – Bongo Comics give the spotlight to some other Simpson characters in its new line. This issue is the first of a new series called One-Shot Wonders. Inside, Ralph Wiggum takes center stage, as he has a day off from school, is left home alone, and becomes a role model to a new kid in town. Throw in some short features from Sergio Aragones and watch the chaos ensue! With the Simpsons celebrating 20 years on TV, this series is a great way to spotlight the supporting characters that help make the show so much fun. Prepare for puppies, and rainbows, and lots of laughs!
