The Picks:
Monster Mess HC – When art does more than imitate life, things can get messy! Peter and Jean make an amazing discovery: When they draw a picture, it comes to life! Their first creation, a monster named Oko, makes a huge monster of a mess, and the only way to stop him is to draw a good monster. Enter Kriss, with three legs, four arms and ten mouths, it’s up to him stop Oko before things get a whole lot messier! Monsters and messes are two things kids love to make, so combining them into one book is a stroke of genius. Papercutz continues to bring out fun and interesting books that fit perfectly into any Elementary school/young reader library.
Amazing Agent Jennifer Volume 2 – The story of Jennifer Kajiwara’s freshman year as an agent comes to an end in this volume. Things aren’t going as planned for Jennifer’s first field mission. She and her team become fugitives in the rogue state of Bruckenstein after an important political figure is assassinated. While searching for the truth behind the murder, she discovers she may have been betrayed by someone close to her, and there is a conspiracy that goes deeper than she imagined. She will need to question everything she believes to be true to get to the answers that will either break her or turn her into a master agent. This short but entertaining series is a great addition to any tween/middle school library.
