December begins with a smaller list than we have become used to seeing. Archie Comics finishes the second Mega Man story line this week, as well as releasing the next Sonic The Hedgehog Select volume. Action Lab Entertainment has the next issue of their princess-empowering series Princeless and Kodansha has the third volume of the manga adaptation of Deltora Quest, a great tween novel series.

The List:

ACTION LAB ENTERTAINMENT

Princeless #2, $3.99

ARCHIE COMICS
Archie Cyber Adventures TP, $9.95 ^^AA List^^
Archie Double Digest #224, $3.99
Mega Man #8, $2.99
Sonic The Hedgehog Select Volume 4 Zone Wars TP, $11.95

KODANSHA COMICS

The Picks:

Archie Cyber Adventures TP – Archie and the gang get in the game, literally! Dilton Doiley’s newest invention has gone awry, trapping Archie’s friends inside the game. it’s up to Archie to save the day as he dives into a gaming universe filled with danger and excitement. Kids and older readers alike will enjoy this title, which is filled with nods to iconic video games and plenty of pop-culture references. This new adventure of pixelated peril is the perfect gift for the geek in your life.

Shugo Chara Chan Volume 1 – Shugo Chara spins off a smaller, cuter series. Based on the popular tween title first published by Del Rey, this title features the three guardian characters of Amu Hinamori, Ran, Miki, and Suu. It is done in the 4-panel comics style and is full of super-deformed characters and lots of gags. Fans of the original Shugo Chara series will find a lot to enjoy in this new series, but non fans can enjoy it too.
