Links: Ladies who lunch

Lunch Lady creator Jarrett J. Krosoczka sits down with his hometown newspaper to discuss his career. “My grandparents were brave enough to send me to college to study art and I’m sure that was a difficult decision for them,” Krosoczka told the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. “But sending me to classes here [at the Worcester Art Museum] was by far a more important decision because at a very young age I learned that a career in the arts was a possibility and I was surrounded by other kids that loved to draw, which was important because I typically didn’t have too many other classmates who were as passionate about it like I was.” (Via Robot 6.)

Congratulations to GC4K founder Brigid Alverson–she’s been chosen as one of six Eisner Award judges for 2012! Also on the panel are retailer Calum Johnson, librarian Jesse Karp, industry veteran Larry Marder, scholar Ben Saunders, and Comic-Con board member Mary Sturhann.
