All ages comics and manga for 11/23/11

November 25, 2011 by Lori Henderson   1 comments

Publishers don’t seem to think you’ll have time to hit the comic shop on Black Friday, from the length of this week’s list. But don’t forget your local comic shop needs some retail love too! And you won’t have to deal with all those pesky lines! Check out the latest Sonic Universe from Archie Comics, the next Darkwing Duck trade from BOOM! Studios and of course this week’s picks.

This Week’s List:

ACTION LAB ENTERTAINMENT
Princeless #1, $3.99 ^^AA Pick^^

ARCHIE COMICS
Life With Archie #15, $3.99
Sonic Universe #34, $2.99
World Of Archie Double Digest #12, $3.99

BONGO COMICS
Bart Simpson Comics #65, $2.99

BOOM! STUDIOS
Darkwing Duck Ducktales Dangerous Currency TP, $14.99.

IMAGE COMICS
Super Dinosaur Volume 1 TP, $9.99 ^^AA Pick^^

The Picks:

Princeless #1 – You don’t have to be the girl who waited. Let Action Lab Entertainment show you how. Princess Adrienne is tired of spending nights locked up in a secluded tower, waiting for her prince to come. She decides to take matters into her own hands and rescue herself! With her guardian dragon Sparky, they head out to begin their own quest. Princeless is a tale that will appeal to both boys and girls with a strong female lead filled with sass and swashbuckling action. And the tongue-in-cheek attitude toward fairy tales won’t hurt either.

Super Dinosaur volume 1 – Catch up on the Dinosaur sensation with this new trade from Image Comics. The Evil Max Maximus wants to get to Inner-Earth! He wants the dinosaurs that live there and the powerful Dynore mineral that originates there. The only ones who can stop him are ten year-old boy genius Derek Dynamo and Super Dinosaur, a nine-foot tall Tyrannosaurus Rex who loves to play video games and is Derek’s best friend. Both critically acclaimed and a best seller, this collection is the perfect chance to jump in on the ground floor. It collects issues 1-5 as well as the special origin issue. This title is a must for any library.
