Author Michelle Lee interviewed her seven-year-old daughter about Teen Titan heroine Starfire. Though Lee’s daughter describes Starfire as her favorite superhero, she was dismayed by the way the character was drawn in issue one of Red Hood & The Outlaws. “[S]he’s not fighting anyone. And not talking to anyone really. She’s just almost naked and posing,” Lee’s daughter observed.

After several years in limbo, the complete Astronaut Dad will be available at New York Comic-Con. The story, by David Hopkins and Brent Schoonover, focuses on a group of astronauts who are recruited for a top-secret espionage project.

DC Comics is teaming up with Amazon to make graphic novels and collected editions available to Kindle Fire customers. Digital books will cost $9.99, and will include titles from DC’s Vertigo, Wildstorm, and MAD Magazine imprints.

Vertical, Inc. just announced that it acquired the rights to shonen manga Aku no Hana (roughly translated as Flowers of Evil). Look for volume one in spring 2012.
