Preview: Archie Double Digest #221
Today’s preview is from Archie Double Digest #221, due out in comics shops this week. Take a look at the credits on these pages, and you will see that several were written by J. Torres, the writer of Alison Dare, Lola: A Ghost Story, and Days Like This; he has also done some work for DC and currently writes Jinx (the update of the classic Li’l Jinx) for Archie.
The artist credited on two of these as Gisele is Gisele Lagace, who was the artist for the very Archie-like Penny and Aggie for quite a while; she is now drawing several webcomics (one of which is adults-only!). Her style really stands out—it’s simpler and rounder than the standard Archie house style.
