Space Warped #1 – Boom! Studios brings over a French parody of Star Wars for their kid’s line in the first of a two-issue mini-series. Far away, in a land long ago…there was an orphaned farm boy with daddy issues trying to rescue an orpahned princess unaware of her daddy issues! Kids love parodies, and while there have been several of Star Wars, none have been as loving or affectionate of this science fiction franchise. Cupcakes of Doom – Bet you didn’t know pastries could be the ultimate weapon! It’s pirates vs Vikings in a showdown to decide the fate of the kingdom! The weapon of choice? Baked Goods! But with Viking Pie haven take over as the people’s favorites, the home-made Pirate cookies have been left in the dust. It’s up to Captain Scurvybeard and his crew to go on a quest to find the ultimate pastry: the long lost Cupcakes of Doom! With plenty of pirate action and just plain sill shenanigans, kids will devour this title. Just make sure to have some cupcakes on hand so you don’t have a mutany yourself!
