Super Dinosaur Origin Special – Originally offered for Free Comic Book Day, Image makes this special issue available for everyone. Super Dinosaur is about a 10-year-old boy, Derek Dynamo, and his best friend, Super Dinosaur, a 9 ft tall Tyrannosaurs Rex who loves to play video games, as they battle the evil Max Maximus who wants the dinosaurs who live in Inner-Earth and the DynOre that originates there. This origin special is a stand alone issue that explains everything you need to know about Super Dinosaur; where he came from, how he avoided extinction, what Inner-Earth is, and what DynOre is and why it’s so dangerous. This new series just started in April, so there’s still time to jump in on the ground level. Kids, especially boys, will love Super Dinosaur, and will probably want one for their best friend as well!
Adventures of Tintin: Red Rackman’s Treasure – With the release of the new movie imminent, Hachette Books prepares for it by releasing the stories in a format just for young readers to enjoy. Tintin and his dog Snowy are the world’s greatest adventures, solving mysteries as they travel around the world. In this first volume, Tintin is determined to find the treasure of the notorious pirate Red Rackham. With the help of Captain Haddock and his ship the Sirius, they set off to find the shipwreck of the Unicorn. With a submarine shaped like a shark, Tintin follows the clues in this ocean adventure. This volume also includes extras about the creation of this adventure and Tintin facts kids will love. This volume is a great way to introduce kids to the world of Tintin. Both boys and girls will enjoy the action and mystery, just as generations before them have.
