The Picks:

Darkwing Duck Classics Volume 1 – The Boom! Studio comics aren’t the first time the Disney Afternoon characters appeared in comics. Back when the shows were still on the air, the adventures continued in comics. This first volume collects the first 8 issues of the original comic that hasn’t been seen in over a decade. Here is Darkwing Duck in his first comic book escapades as he battles his most famous foes as well as continues down the road of fatherhood. Old fans and new of D.W. will love this trip to the past, and chance to read more about the daring duck hero.

Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life GN – Pokemon continues to be as popular today as it was when it was introduced to US audiences over a decade ago. This latest volume is an adaptation of the 12th movie. Long ago, the mighty Pokemon Arceus was betrayed by a human it trusted. Now, it is back for revenge. Legendary pokemon Dialga, Palkia and Giratina must join forces to help Ash, Dawn and their friends stop Arceus from destroying mankind. They’re going to need a little time and a lot of luck! Fans of pokemon, both legendary and normal, will really enjoy this title. It’s filled with lots of action, battling, and more time travel!

Seekers: Kallik’s Adventure – Erin’s Hunter’s new series enjoys life in manga as her bear adventures join the cats in this second volume. Polar bear cub Kallik and her brother Taqqiq live in a cozy den with their mother Nisa, who tells them stories of the world beyond their snowy den. Stories of other bears, endless snow and flecks of ice in the sky called stars. Even though they are still too small, the cubs can’t wait to go exploring.  Sneaking out one day leads them to discover some new things about the wild and make a new friend, whose life may be in danger! Get a peek into the background of Kallik before she starts her quest with the other bears to find peace away from humans.
