November 19, 2010 by Lori Henderson   Leave a Comment

It’s time to say goodbye to a few titles on the list this week. The Mouse Guard spin-off series, Legends of the Guard ends this week, as does the adaptation of The Last Unicorn. Udon Entertainment’s Mega Man Megamix manga shuts down this week as well. Christmas is much closer than I would like it to be, so I guess it’s about time for a Christmas treasury of comic stories to come out. IDW has put together several Christmas stories from the Golden Age of comics with lots of names you’ll recognize and stories you’ll love.

The List:

ARCHAIA ENTERTAINMENT

Last Unicorn #6 (Of 6)(Renae De Liz Regular Cover), $3.99

UDON ENTERTAINMENT
Mega Man Megamix Volume 3 GN (Of 3), $12.95

The Picks:

Mickey Mouse on Quandomai Island TP – This trade collects the four-part story originally serialized in Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Pete have been shipwrecked on the mysterious island of Quandomai, with no way home. It is a place teeming with dinosaurs and other strange inhabitants. Mickey must unravel the dark secret of Quandomai in order to get himself and his friends safely home. Written and drawn by Italian creator Casty, kids are sure to love this new, exciting adventure with Mickey Mouse, dinosaurs, and a mystery to solve.

Ratchet and Clank #3 – Move over Sonic and Tails, there’s a new video game duo preparing to take over the comics world. Ratchet and Clank are from a popular franchise from the Sony Playstation platform. This comics series takes place after their last adventure on the Playstation 3, A Crack in Time. After defeating Dr. Nefarious, our heroes return home for some well-earned R&R, but when planets start disappearing, Galactic President Qwark call the duo back to action to take on the planet thief Artemis Zogg. The Galactic Rangers are about to challenge Zogg’s planet-stealing agenda, but do they stand a chance against him? Ratchet and Clank may have to make the ultimate sacrifice if they aren’t. Fans of the Ratchet and Clank games will find a lot to love in this series, as they wait for the next game to come out. And those not into video games can find out why the fans love Ratchet and Clank so.
