Interview: James Kochalka
On Friday, July 23, while attending San Diego International Comic-Con, I ran around like a madwoman, rounding up as many of my favorite kids comics creators as I could and asking them all the exact same questions. Keep in mind, Comic-Con is crazy loud and crazy busy, so there is a lot of background noise. Let me know in the comments if you have trouble hearing anything and I’ll translate for you.
My fifth interview was with James Kochalka, creator of the Johnny Boo series, which makes every six-year-old boy I know giggle uncontrollably. He’s probably best known by adult readers as the creator of the American Elf webcomic.
