All ages comics and manga list for 6/3/10
Are the kids (or you) counting down the days until school’s out? It’s coming up, but with time being relative, it could be too fast or too slow. Why not pass some of that time with some of the books on this week’s list? Bongo Comics has a new collection of Bart Simpson comics for the mischievous. Marvel also collects X-Babies into one volume as well for the nostalgia of the mid ’80s. Or enjoy some manga from Viz with hopping bunnies in Happy Happy Clover, or feed that collection addiction with Pokemon Adventures. And don’t forget the picks this week!

The Picks:
Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard #1 – This new mini-series is an anthology expanding the Mouse Guard universe. A story-telling contest starts at the June Alley Inn, where mice gather to tell their tales. The rules: The stories must contain one truth, one lie, and can never have been told at the tavern. This series is borderline all ages, but at 12+, it can still squeak by for 6th graders. And you can be sure of the quality of the art and stories, as creator David Petersen handpicked the writers and artists.
Megaman ZX Volume 1 – This manga is based on the Megaman video game and cartoon properties. Humans and Reploids were once at war, but now co-exist peacefully. The creation of living “biometals” allow humans to match the Reploids strength and become Megamen. When a team of couriers try to deliver the biometals Z and X, they are attacked by a mysterious group, and fuse with the biometals to become model ZX. With their new-found powers, they search to find out who the new enemy is. Expect lots of action from this series, as it was written for boys, but action or video game oriented girls will enjoy it as well.
