All ages comics and manga for 5/19/10
The loss of CMX also means that this list will now be a little lighter on titles for kids and tweens. CMX was one of the few publishers that not only brought out titles for that age rating, but they were interesting and engaging, and didn’t have a commercial tie-in. The company and their catalog of titles will truly be missed. But we must move on, and the list this week is without any manga, but Archie shows off the 70’s in their latest Americana Series trade, and Boom! Studios releases trades for Cars and Incredibles, as well as a new series!

The Picks:
Sonic Universe #16 – This issue completes the 4 issue story arc “Journey to the East” in which Sonic and his friends have been helping Monkey Khan fight against the Iron Dominion. In this last issue, Sonic must confront Espio about betraying the Chaotix, while Monkey Khan faces the Bride of Constant Vigil, the leader of the Shinobi Clan. But are things really as they seem? Taking Sonic and his friends into the world of the orient, this mini-series has lots of action, and secrets that not everyone may want revealed. And, of course, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Even if you don’t like video games, or Sonic’s recent offerings in that field, this series more than makes up for it in story and action.
Muppet Snow White #1 – The Muppets return once more with their own telling of another fairy tale. This time, it’s Snow White that gets the treatment. Queen Piggy doesn’t like the answer from her magic mirror to the question of who’s the fairest pig in the land, but it’s Snow White who has to run for her life. She finds refuge with the Electric Mayhem, but is cleaning up after them better than facing the Queen? With Miss Piggy as the evil queen, a new heroine was needed, a no one could fill the shoes but Spamela Hamderson. Jump in on this twisted tell of the classic fairy tale as only the Muppets can!
